Leechburg Rotary,Club 5146 in District 7280.

We meet weekly at the Addison House Restaurant at 6:15 pm.
The Rotary Calendar year runs from July 1 to June 31.
Initiation fee to join is $50.00 .
Cost of our dinner is $10.00, this includes the tip. A small amount of
this goes into petty cash to cover guests. If you chose not to eat we ask that you give $2.00.
Rotary International dues are collected twice yearly in July and January.These
dues are $45.00 and include a copy of the Rotarian Magazine which gives us an
overview of the many projects of Rotary Clubs around the world.

Some terms you may hear at our meetings are:
PETS- President-Elect Training Seminar- President elect is expected to
attend.the club pays for you to attend.
ROVA- Rotary Outstanding Vocation Award-We send 2 students from Lenape to this.
RYLA- Rotary Youth Leadership Award- We send 4 students to this
GSE- Group Study Exchange
RYE-Rotary Youth Exchange
Interact- Rotary sponsored community service club in the local high school
Rotaract-Rotary sponsored community service club in a college or university.
Polio-Plus- Rotary International partners with the World Health Organization to
eradicate polio in third world countries. Rotarians donate funds and man power
to immunize children and many countries such as India and countries in Africa have
NID National Immunization Days and millions of children receive oral polio vaccine.
Rotary Foundation- Each Rotarian is asked to donate yearly to this fund. New
members are asked to give a token donation when they become a member.

Our club gives 10% of the net receipts of all our fund raisers and the members
are asked to give what they can. Each members donation to the Foundation is put
in that members fund. When that account reaches $1000.00 that member can become
a Paul Harris Fellow.
The club's account also accumulates and when the account reaches $1000.00 the
club designates a Paul Harris Fellow.
